The short version

Yes — Uncle Jee is built around halal meat.

You can browse without signing in. Creating an account makes repeat orders, saved favourites and rewards easier.

For an order-specific problem, use Ask Uncle Jee and link the order where possible.

Is all Uncle Jee meat halal?

Products sold as meat through Uncle Jee are represented as halal. See Halal & Sourcing for how supplier and certification information is handled.

Why did the price change when I changed the weight?

Products sold per kilogram recalculate from the requested weight. If the final product is charged by actual packed weight, a small final variation can also occur after packing.

Can I choose how meat is cut?

Where cut options are available, choose one on the product page. Natural variation means exact piece size or count is not always guaranteed unless the product explicitly says it is.

Can I leave packing or preparation instructions?

Yes. Checkout includes an optional packing/preparation request box. We will endeavour to follow reasonable requests, but they depend on the product, stock, food-safety, butchery and packing constraints, so they cannot be promised or guaranteed.

Will my product look exactly like the photo?

Product images are for display and illustrative purposes only. Meat is a natural product, so the colour, shape, size, cut appearance and arrangement may vary from the image shown. Packaging, labels and presentation may also change from time to time. The product name, description, weight or quantity and other information shown on the listing describe what you are ordering.

Where do you deliver?

Enter your postcode at checkout. The delivery check shows whether we currently deliver to you, the delivery charge and any minimum order before you pay.

Where is my order?

Open Orders & tracking from My Uncle Jee to see the latest status for a current order. If the delivery looks late or something does not look right, choose Delivery issue in Ask Uncle Jee and link the order.

When will my order be delivered?

Our confirmed timetable is: Monday before 9pm → Wednesday; Monday at or after 9pm → Thursday; Tuesday before 9pm → Thursday; Tuesday at or after 9pm → Friday; Wednesday → Friday; Thursday before 2pm → Friday; Thursday at or after 2pm → Tuesday; Friday, Saturday and Sunday → Tuesday. Bank holidays use the same weekday rules. Checkout saves your actual confirmed delivery day on the order.

Will I get an exact delivery time?

We will aim to provide an estimated delivery window where the delivery service makes one available. Unless your order expressly confirms a guaranteed timed service, please expect delivery at any time up to 8pm on the confirmed delivery day and make sure someone can receive it.

What happens if I miss the delivery?

If the carrier attends the confirmed address on the agreed delivery day and nobody is available, the delivery may be recorded as missed. We may try to rearrange or redeliver, but another attempt or a specific time cannot be guaranteed. We are not responsible for losses caused solely by an avoidable missed delivery where a valid attempt was made. Your statutory rights are not affected where the delivery failure is caused by us or our carrier.

How do Uncle Jee points work?

When Uncle Jee Rewards is available on your account, signed-in customers earn 1 point for every £1 of eligible merchandise spend. Delivery charges and charitable giving do not earn points. Discounts and points used on an order reduce the amount that earns new points.

Points are credited only after the order has been delivered, so checkout shows what the current order is expected to earn rather than adding those points immediately.

How do I use my points?

When rewards are available, open the Rewards step during checkout. Your available balance is shown there. You can redeem from 500 points, and each point is worth 1p — so 500 points gives £5 off.

Enter the number of points you want to use or choose Max, then apply the change before Review & pay. Promo or referral codes and loyalty points cannot be used together on the same order.

What happens to points if an order is refunded?

Points earned from a delivered order can be reversed if that order is later refunded. Where points were redeemed against an order that is refunded, the applicable redeemed points can be restored as part of the refund handling.

How is my payment handled?

Secure card and supported wallet payments are handled by Stripe. Uncle Jee does not store your full card number. Your order is treated as paid only after Stripe confirms the payment, and any refund is normally returned through the original payment route.

Can I cancel or change an order?

Contact us as soon as possible. If preparation or dispatch has not started, we may be able to stop or change the order. Fresh and rapidly perishable foods have different change-of-mind rules once preparation or dispatch has begun.

Can I return fresh meat because I changed my mind?

Fresh and rapidly perishable foods normally fall outside the standard distance-selling change-of-mind cancellation right. Problems with faulty, unsafe, damaged or misdescribed goods are handled differently and your statutory rights still apply.

What if my food arrives warm, damaged or unsafe?

Do not eat food you believe may be unsafe. Keep the affected product, label and packaging where safe to do so, take useful photographs, and choose Quality / problem with food in Ask Uncle Jee so we can investigate promptly.

Where is allergen information?

Use the allergen information for the specific product before ordering and check the delivered label again before eating. Prepared, marinated or processed products can contain allergens even where plain meat does not.

How do I get help with an order?

Open Ask Uncle Jee, choose what you need help with and link the order where possible. You do not need to invent a subject line — we organise the conversation for you.
